Two Individuals Formally Indicted with Jail Killing of Former Lostprophets Frontman Ian Watkins

A pair of suspects stand accused of murder in the wake of the incarceration fatality of ex-Lostprophets frontman and adjudicated child sex criminal Ian Watkins.

Rashid Gedel, 25, and Samuel Dodsworth, 43 stand indicted for homicide and will appear before Leeds magistrates’ court on Monday morning, per investigating officers.

Watkins, 48, was serving a 29-year sentence at HMP Wakefield, with a further six years to be served on licence, after admitting a string of sex offences among them the attempted rape of a baby.

Watkins was arrested after the execution of a substance-related warrant at his Pontypridd home on 21 September 2012, when a significant quantity of computers, mobile phones and data storage units were confiscated.
